Still wondering what Soul Warriors is all about? Wondering if you want to join us? Maybe you think all the stuff on the other pages is just "fluff" that is not really accurate? Well, this is what the men who attend have to say about Soul Warriors...
Wow! What a blessing to be a part of such a wonderful church and to be a part of a men's group like we have at FBC. God has used me in ways I thought was impossible for me. I can't begin to describe how I have grown as a result of our Wednesday night classes and the fellowship of the men that are a part of it. My walk is stronger because of God and this class. If there is a man out there that wants a closer walk with his heavenly Father, I would personally like to invite you to come and be a part of the men's group at FBC. To GOD be the Glory.

The great thing about the Soul Warriors is that is a bunch of guys being guys. There are no put ons in the group, just a bunch of real men dealing with real problems that are seeking and receiving Christian guidance. I had no interest in being a part of a Bible study just a few years ago because I did not think that I would get anything out of a Bible study and that I would not have fun. Wow was I wrong! There is a level of trust among the men that I can’t explain and frankly did not expect. It is so awesome to watch my fellow warriors serving the Lord with a smile on their face not matter the task. It does not matter if we are building a wheel chair ramp, painting a house, cleaning a yard or serving breakfast to the youth the warriors have a great time and look forward to more good times.
We tell people “I’ve Got Your Back” and I assure you that is not just a slogan, it is a way of life for the warriors. I challenge anyone out there to give us a shot and see if you won’t be blessed by spending time with my fellow warriors. We always have a seat open and hope that you will come fill it!

Attending the Men's Ministry Bible Study on Wednesday evenings is like finding a cozy, cool oasis in the middle of a vast desert. When I leave, I always feel refreshed, nourished with The Word, and filled with The Spirit. Sometimes I attend because I feel the excitement building up for what I will encounter during the meeting. At other times, however, I have to push myself because I'm in the middle of something or I'm "too busy" –Satan loves that one. But, once I arrive and begin to speak with other men about our week or our concerns, I feel the concerns and burdens being physically lifted from my shoulders. More than the fellowship, however, is the real "meat" in the discussions that are prompted by the material we are studying. Our current study, "Man of His Word," by Adrian Rogers, is full of spiritual nourishment for men. The first three topics are: A Man in Christ, A Man and His Wife, and A Man and His Children. The last one provided such wonderful and useful insight that I have resolved to send an outline of the study to my two grown sons and my son-in-law. I didn't receive the materials in time to be helpful with my children, but I can see that it is available for my grandchildren.
Come join us, you will be blessed and you will very likely be a blessing to others.
Sincerely in Christ,

The Wednesday Eveing mens group, Soul Warriors, has been a huge blessing to me! In the church today, it is so easy for men to get "molded" into what society wants a man to be. Soul Warriors has been a great way for me to break out of that mold and work to become the man that God wants me to be! I can come and be myself, unload all the baggage I carry around, find real fellowship with other men, and serve to others in a very real way. It is also a huge blessing to be surrounded by a group of men who have my back!
